RIMBA, Friday, 09 Nov 2006 - Approximately 1000 personnel from the Ministry of Defence and departments under it celebrated the final days of hari raya Aidilditri gathering this afternoon organised by the civilian and military personnel of Ministry of Defence.

The celebration, held at the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) Punai Hall were attended by the Deputy Minister of Defence Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Singamanteri Colonel (Rtd) Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Yasmin bin Haji Umar as the Chief Guest, Permanent Secretary of Defence Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Abd Hamid bin Hj Mohd Yassin, Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Md Yussof, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Defence II, Civilian and Military Directors, officers and personnel of the Ministry of Defence and RBAF.

The annual celebration was jointly organised by Directorate of Logistic and Directorate of Administration & Manpower. Its aim is to strengthen closer relationship and professional interaction at all levels of organisation among the civilian and military personnel which have long been portrayed through the harmony of invaluable cooperation and teamwork spirit.

Apart from enjoying the sumptuous meal, other highlights of the event was the performance of Tausyeh and video presentation of hari raya greetings from the Ministry of Defence's envoys abroad.
