Bandar Seri Begawan, Wednesday 07 Nov 2007 - The Commander of Royal Armed Forces (RBAF), Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Md Yussof received a courtesy call this morning from the Chief of Staff Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) His Excellency General Hermogenes C. Esperon JR. at the Ministry of Defence, Bolkiah Garrison.

Prelude to the visit at the Ministry of Defence, His Excellency General Hermogenes C. Esperon JR was presented with the General Salute ceremony by the Guard of Honour mounted by personnel of Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF). On completion of the General Salute ceremony, His Excellency proceeded to the reception room for the courtesy call.

General Hermogenes C. Esperon JR, his spouse Mrs Dr Lorna Hermenegilda Esperon and delegation arrived in the sultanate on the 6 the for a 3-day introductory visit since his appointment as Chief of Staff Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Today General Hermogenes C. Esperon JR also made a courtesy call on the Deputy Minister of Defence, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Singamanteri Colonel (Rtd) Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Yasmin bin Haji Umar at the Ministry of Defence in Bolkiah Garrison.
