BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Tuesday 30 October 2007 - The Ministry of Defence this morning received an official visit by the Minister for Defence Republic of Singapore His Excellency Mr Teo Chee Hean. Upon arrival at the Bolkiah Garrison, His Excellency was welcomed by the Deputy Minister of Defence Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Singamanteri Colonel (Rtd) Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Yasmin bin Haji Umar. Also in attendance to welcome His Excellency and delegation were the Permanent Secretary of Defence, Acting Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces and the Deputy Permanent Secretaries of the Ministry of Defence.

Prelude to the visit, His Excellency Mr Teo Chee Hean was presented with the General Salute ceremony by the Guard of Honour. His Excellency was then invited to review the Guard of Honour comprising of personnel of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF). In completion of the General Salute ceremony, the Deputy Minister of Defence and His Excellency proceeded to the Ministry of Defence reception room for the courtesy call.

His Excellency Mr Teo Chee Hean and delegation arrived in Brunei for a 3-day official visit since 29 October.
