Bandar Seri Begawan, Sunday 19 August 2007 - A thanks giving ceremony for the Islamic conversion of Major Suradjin bin Yuju @ Hj Muhd Yusof from Royal Brunei Navy took place at his own residence at Kampong Kuala Lurah. The newly convert chose his new Muslim name as Mohammad Suradjin bin Hj Yussof.

Major Mohammad Suradjin is presently serving as the Paymaster at the Royal Brunei Navy since Jun 2006 and has been in service with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces for 14 years. Present as chief guest at the ceremony was the Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Navy Colonel (L) Abdul Halim bin Hj Hanafiah. Also presents were senior officers from the Ministry of Defence and RBAF, official from Pusat Dakwah Islamiah and residents of Kampong Kuala Lurah.

The conversion ceremony took place earlier on 12 July 2007 at the Pusat Dakwah Islamiah BSB.
