MINISTRY OF DEFENCE

BOLKIAH GARISON, Thursday, 07 Sept 2006 - His Royal Highness Prince General Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, The Crown Prince, Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and General Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) consented to his series of working visit to the Directorate of Personnel, Ministry of Defence at Bolkiah Garison.

Upon arrival at the ministry, His Royal Highness was greeted by the Deputy Minister of Defence Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Singamanteri Colonel (Rtd) Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Yasmin bin Haji Umar; Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office Dato Paduka Awang Haji Eusoff Agaki and the Acting Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Brigadier General (U) Dato Paduka Haji Mahmud bin Haji Saidin.

Also present to welcome His Royal Highness were the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence, Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat; Acting Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office, Dayang Hajah Salbiah Binti Haji Sulaiman, Deputy Permanent Secretaries at the Ministry of Defence and other RBAF Senior Officers.

His Royal Highness's visit programme commenced with a group photo with officers and personnel under the directorate and later followed by a presentation on the structure and organisation of the directorate delivered by Lt Colonel Yussof bin Hj Abd Rahman, the Ministry of Defence's Acting Director of Personnel. After the briefing, His Royal Highness consented to visit various departments under the directorate and interacted with the personnel. The visited departments were the RBAF Manning and Record Department, Defence Personnel Administration Information System (DefPAIS), Force Recruiting Office, Finance Division and Military Legal Unit.

Al-Muhtadee Billah, The Crown Prince consented to sign the royal parchment.
