ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE HELD BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGN

PENANJONG, 07 Nob 2006 - In conjunction with the 45th Anniversary of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), a blood donation campaign was organised for about 100 personnel of the Second Battalion RBLF at the Corporal Club, Tutong Camp this morning.

This campaign is a welfare project to motivate RBLF personnel to help the shortage of blood in the country. The blood will later be donated to RIPAS hospital. Blood donations is a unique and respectful deed enabling to help other people's lives. It is an important responsibility by virtue of freewill without rendering gratuity. Blood are needed by patients who has blood disorders like thalassaemia, leukimia, haemophilia, anaemia, and when there is loss of blood during surgery and delivery, trauma and accidents.

This campaign will be on-going for four days starting on the 7th, 9th, 14th and 16th Nov.
