Berakas Garison, Saturday, 07 October 2006 - The Annual General Meeting for the shareholders of Koperasi Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei Dengan Tanggungan Berhad or known as KOWIRA was held at the Pahlawan Hall, Berakas Garison. Amongst the agenda of the meeting was to announce the distribution of dividends to share holders and to outline the strategy plans of KOWIRA. KOWIRA was established in October 1998 with the main purpose of improving the socio-economic standards and welfare of its members.

The meeting was chaired by the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Yand Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Hj Md Yussof in his capacity as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Also in attendance were other senior officers from the Ministry of Defence and retired army personnel of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
