Berakas, Monday, 2nd October 2006 - To mark the 13th Civil Service Day celebration held last Saturday, 30 Sept 2006, the Ministry of Defence had participated in an exhibition booth at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Berakas together with the rest of the Government Ministries. The exhibition will last until Tuesday 03 October 2006. The theme for this year's celebration is 'Customer-Friendly Civil Service'.

The Ministry of Defence exhibition booth signified the unity of civil service within the ministry towards supporting the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) as their core customer keeping in mind the Defence White Paper as guidance in projecting the concept for this year's theme. In simplicity, Ministry of Defence is about defending the country (the monarch, the people, religion) against all external adversaries wishing to cause us any harm. The executing force in defending the country comprise of the military personnel. The civilian, on the other hand, is mainly tasked in the process of ensuring that the military are financially supported, well equipped and able to perform their duties.
