'DOA KESYUKURAN' CEREMONY FOR INTERNATIONAL MONITORING TEAM (IMT)

Berakas, Thursday, 28 September 2006 - A 'Doa Kesyukuran' ceremony was held yesterday at Berakas Garison Surau for the Second Contingent of Brunei Darussalam's International Monitoring Teams (IMT) that returned home from Cotabato, Mindanao, The Republic of the Philippines on 9 September 2006 after completed their one year mission. The second contingent led by Lieutenant Colonel Haji Jol Joblee bin Haji Bangkol which comprised of seven officers and three other ranks.

The Guest of Honour at this ceremony was the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Md Yussof. Also present at the ceremony were Services Commanders and Commandants, Military Directors of the Ministry of Defence and senior officers of the Royal Brunei Armed Officers.

The ceremony began with the recital of 'Surah Yassin and Tahlil' and then followed by 'Doa Kesyukuran' read by Lieutenant Awang Arifin bin Amit@ Hamid.
