Bolkiah Garrison, Berakas 20 November 2006 - The 7th Joint Defence Working Committee's Meeting was held between the Ministry of Defence of Brunei Darussalam and the United States of America at the Ministry of Defence, Bolkiah Garrison, Berakas, Brunei Darussalam. The meeting was co-chaired by the Acting Director of Defence Policy, Ministry of Defence, Yang Mulia Mohd Murad bin Haji Paijan and Colonel Mark Haskins, US PACOM, United States. Also present at the meeting were senior officials from the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Brunei Darussalam

Among the issues discussed in the meeting were matters pertaining to bilateral exercises and trainings, logistic cooperation, progress of bilateral initiatives in defence, and exchange of views on regional and international security and defence issues. The meeting is held annually, hosted alternately by both countries.
