Bolkiah Garrison, Friday 18 Aug 2006 - With the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam, The Commander Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi Bin Haji Md Yussof announced that 7 Senior Officers of the RBAF has been consented to be promoted. The promotion ceremony took place this afternoon at the Officers' Mess Bolkiah Garrison.

The RBAF officers who are promoted are as follows:

Promoted to Colonel (Substantive)

1. Colonel (U) Jofri bin Hj Abdullah
2. Lieutenant Colonel Ra'emi Maleek bin Haji Abd Wahab
3. Lieutenant (U) Hamid Hj Nayan

Promoted to Acting Lieutenant Colonel

4. Major (L) Hj Alihan Hj Abdul Saman
5. Major Abdul Latif bin Haji Matusin
6. Major (U) Shahril Anwar bin Haji Ma'awiyah
7. Major Haji Abdul Hadi bin Haji Saim

The Guest of Honour of the ceremony, Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi Bin Haji Md Yussof, The Commander of RBAF presented the rank insignias to these promoted senior officers in the witness of Service Commanders and Commandants, Senior Officers and Officers of RBAF and Ministry of Defence as well as family and friends of the promoted senior officers.
