PENANJONG, Friday 10 Nov 2006 - The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) will be organising a 7-a-side rugby tournament to celebrate its 45th Anniversary. The one-day event tournament will be held at the Mini Stadium Penanjong Garrison on Sunday 12 Nov 2006 starting at 0800am. The final match will then commence at 0430pm.

The participating teams in this tournament are Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), combined teams of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), Royal Brunei Yacht Club, Bandar Blacks, Belait District Pythons and Saint Michael School Boys' Rugby Club, Seria.

Captain Sopian bin Haji Mohammad Yassin, the chairman of this tournament will also be selecting potential players for the Rugby 7 team to the 2007 South East Asian Games in Thailand. Centralised training under the supervision of the Sports Department, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports is scheduled to commence in January 2007.
