A
total of eight personnel of Royal Brunei Armed Forces
from the First Group of International Monitoring Team/IMT
have arrived home from the Republic of Philippines
after a tour of duty there. The group landed at 3.05pm
in Royal Brunei Air Force's CN235 aircraft.
A
Welcome Home Ceremony was held at the Royal Brunei
Air Force Base in Rimba. The Guest of Honour at the
ceremony was Yang Mulia Awg Hj Mustappa bin Hj Sirat
Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, and
the function was atttended by Yang Mulia Colonel (U)
Dato Paduka Hj Mahmud bin Hj Saidin Acting Commander
RBAF, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency the Ambassador of
the Republic of Philippines, Military Commanders and
Commandants, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks
of the Ministry of Defence and RBAF.
The
group that arrived today comprised of Major Azman
bin Hj Bangkol, Major Hj Damit bin Hj Bakar, Captain
Pg Hj Rudy Halyamin bin Pg Hj Chuchu, Captain Aldi
bin Hj Hassan, Captain Mohd Salehudin bin Dato Paduka
Hj Puasa, Captain Hj Fadzli bin Hj Abdullah, Staff
Sergeant Japarudin bin Hj Sabtu, Corporal Hj Ramlee
bin Hj Seruddin and Lance Corporal Mazlan bin Rajap.
For a while, Lieutenant Colonel Hj Aminuddin Ehsan
bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka
Hji Abdin First Group Commander of the Brunei Darussalam
International Monitoring Team, and Major Azman bin
Hj Bangkol will arrive home on 21 September 2005.
The First Group has commenced their task in Cotabato
Mindanao in last October 2004.
Also
present to welcome the group were the team members'
families and relatives. A Doa Selamat was read by
Ustaz Hj Roslan bin Haji Sulaiman, Senior Religious
Officer of the Ministry of Defence.
