Commanding Officer No.4 Wing 

Lieutenant Colonel (U) Sherpor Nezam bin Abdul Ghapor (preferably called Sherpor or Nezam) is the Commanding Officer for No. 4 Wing, which he held since April 28, 2017. He is the second Commanding Officer since No 4 Wing was established, after its inauguration in 2015. Lieutenant Colonel (U) Sherpor Nezam was enlisted in the Royal Brunei Armed Forces on August 30, 1999 where upon completion of recruit training, he was posted to Royal Brunei Air Force as a student pilot. In 2002, Lieutenant Colonel (U) Sherpor Nezam experienced a career change to then serve the Royal Brunei Air Force as a Supply Officer.

Prior to advancing his career further as an Air Force Officer, Lieutenant Colonel (U) Sherpor Nezam had attended the 90th Initial Officer Training (IOT) in the United Kingdom, specifically at the Royal Air Force College, Cranwell. He later returned twice to the same college; to attend the 32nd Supply Officer Training (SOT) in 2004, and the Intermediate Logistics Management Course (ILMC) in 2007.

Upon returning from supply training, Lieutenant Colonel (U) Sherpor Nezam, who was already a Lieutenant at that time served immediately as the Officer- in- Charge of Supply Control and Accounting Flight (SCAF). Prior to supply training however, Lieutenant Colonel (U) Sherpor Nezam had also held the post of Admin Officer as a 2nd Lieutenant for the Logistics Wing. Then In 2007, he was posted to Royal Brunei Air Force headquarters as a Staff Officer Grade 3 in the Logistics and Maintenance (A4) Department. Later in 2010, Major (U) Sherpor Nezam was posted back to Supply where he held the appointment of Flight Commander for Domestic Supply Flight (DSF). In 2012, he was appointed as the Officer Commanding for Supply Squadron, the last held post for Supply Squadron before it was upgraded to Supply Wing or No 4 Wing. Later in 2016, Lieutenant Colonel (U) Sherpor Nezam attended the 6th Command and Staff Course at the Defense Academy in Tanah Jambu, Brunei Darussalam. Upon completion, he returned to Royal Brunei Air Force as the Staff Officer Grade 2 for the A4 Department. In April 2017, he was appointed as the Commanding Officer of No 4 Wing.

During his career in the Royal Brunei Air Force, Lieutenant Colonel (U) Sherpor Nezam also attended numerous courses namely; Unit Security Officer Course (Intelligence Training Wing, RBAF- 2000), Aviation Medicine (Singapore- 2001), Young Officers’ Course (Training Institute, RBAF- 2003), Flight Safety Officer Course (Singapore- 2005) and the 7th Junior Staff Course (Training Institute, RBAF- 2008). Further in the period of 2013 to 2014, Major (U) Sherpor Nezam then served in the International Monitoring Team- Mindanao (IMT-M) in the Philippines where he held the post of Deputy Team Site Leader of Team Site 1 in Cotabato City, Mindanao. The team was then awarded the Bronze Cross Medal at the end of the tour from the government of the Phillipines. With the consent of His Majesty, Major (U) Sherpor Nezam was later then awarded the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK) in 2017.

Lieutenant Colonel (U) Sherpor Nezam is married to Dyg Nor Syahmun bte Hj Matassan and both were blessed with two children; Muhammad Eyad Iman and Muhammad Eyad Irfan. Lieutenant Colonel (U) Sherpor Nezam plays many sports, both competitive and casually, on the field and in the courts. Occasionally, he also enjoys swimming, mountain biking and road cycling.
