LIEUTENANT COLONEL (U) MOHAMMAD SUFIAN BIN AWANG AHMAD 

Commanding Officer No.1 Wing

Lieutenant Colonel (U) Mohammad Sufian Bin Awang Ahmad enlisted into the Royal Brunei Armed Forces at 12th July 1996 and became an officer cadet on the 03rd January 1997. Upon becoming an officer, he pursues his flying training as a student pilot before becoming an operational pilot for the RBAirF.

He has held various appointments such as Flight Commander Training, Squadron Commander, Officer Commanding of the RBAirF Standards squadron, and currently appointed as the Commanding Officer for the No.1 Wing.

Lieutenant Colonel (U) Mohammad Sufian Bin Awang Ahmad also attended various courses especially on his flying progression, where he attended the Rotary Wing Flying Course  on 31st Dec 1999. He then later attended the Helicopter Instructor Course          on 20th Aug 2004, Air Force Safety Officer Course on 29th Jun 2005, SIK-70 Recurrent Pilot on 04th Apr 2008, and Maintenance Test Pilot S-70A Helicopter on 23rd Oct 2009.

Throughout his career, Lieutenant Colonel (U) Mohammad Sufian Bin Awang Ahmad had received Medals awarded such as Pingat Puspa (Emas), Darjah Setia Negara Brunei Yang Amat Bahagia (Darjah Keempat) and Pingat Laila Tugas.

Lieutenant Colonel (U) Mohammad Sufian Bin Awang Ahmad is married to Safiah binti Hassan, with 2 sons.
