Calibration - Pricing

NOTES:

1.    MASS-SITE Calibration

1.1    If adjustment is requested by the customer, a 30% of basic calibration rate will be charged for this service .
1.2    Other Charges:
1.2.1    Transportation
i)    B$140 per day (within Brunei)
ii)    B$250 per day (outside Brunei)
1.2.2    Accommodation
i)    B$120 per day per person (within Brunei)
ii)    B$180 per day per person (outside Brunei)
1.2.3    Food
i)    B$20 per day per person (within Brunei)
ii)    B$120 per day per person (outside Brunei)
1.3    The number of staff(s) required to do the site-calibration will depend on the range of the instrument. The requirements are as follows:
1.3.1    Up to 50 kg. Instrument Capacity (at least 1 person but not more than 2 persons)
1.3.2    Above to 50 kg. Instrument Capacity (at least 2 persons but not more than 3 persons)

2.    ADMINISTRATIVE and HANDLING FEE

The cost for Administrative and Handling Fee is 5% of Calibration Cost which will be added to the instrument quote.

ELECTRICAL CALIBRTION PRICE LIST (Updated : 03 February 2011)

Note:
1.    For UKAS accredited calibrations add B$30.00 for certificate.
2.    The cost rate of B$170.00 per hour applies to all instrument except as when noted.
3.    Two types of calibration requirement:
•    Standard Calibration: cost is based on 2 above.
•    Calibration with test/result measurement: is cost based on 2 above plus fix amount of $50.00
4.    Calibration requiring adjustment: customer is notified before adjustment is carried out at an additional $50.00.

Calibration cost guideline for Electrical Instrument:
1    Basic cost rate is based on B$170.00/hr except as when noted.
2    For 4.5 to 5.5 digit DMM, cost rate is based on B$238.00/hr i.e. B$170.00 plus 40% of B$170.00
3    For ≥ 6.5 digit high precision DMM, cost rate is based on B$255.00/hr i.e. B$170.00 plus 50% of 170.00.
4    Selection of the base cost rate depends on the type of the instruments. Below are the criteria in the selection of the appropriate base cost rate:
a.    For normal or simplex type of instrument, basic cost rate per hr in 1 above applies.
b.    For 4.5 to 5.5 digit DMM, basic cost rate per hr in above 2 applies.
c.    For ≥ 6.5 digit DMM high precision type instrument, basic cost rate per hr in 3 above applies. Example of ≥ 6.5 DMM is the Agilent 3458A
5    For per instrument costing, multiply the appropriate basic cost rate in paragraph 1, 2, 3 or 4, by the number of hours. This applies only to instrument not exceeding 6 hours of calibration time.
6    For instrument with more than 6 hours of calibration time, costing is determined by multiplying the appropriate basic cost rate by 6 hrs plus B$50.00
7    Basic or standard parameter consists of DC/AC Voltage, DC/AC Current and Resistance. These basic or standard parameters apply only to analogue multimeter, clamp meter, 3.5 digit DMM, and digital clamp meter.
8    Additional parameter other than those define in paragraph 7 consist of Capacitance, Inductance and Frequency
9    For instrument having additional parameter or if customer requires to calibrate the instrument at an additional point, cost is determined as follows:
a.    For normal or simple instrument, calibration of additional parameters other than those of basic standard parameter as defined in paragraph 7, add 20% of basic rate for each additional parameter.

For precision instrument add 50% of B$170 gives B$255 per hour
For per instrument costing, just multiply the hour at paragraph 1 or 2 depending on instrument complexity. Max hour multiply cost at paragraph 1 or 2, this only apply to instrument not exceeding 6 hours.
1    Additional parameter apart basic standard parameter.
a.    Basic parameter for multi-meter Voltage, current and resistance
b.    Additional parameter like capacitance, inductance and frequency will be charged at additional of 20% per each parameter. B$ 1020 x 20% = B$204.
For instrument more than 6 hours, the addition charge of B$50.00
