Preliminary Report On Bell 212 Crash Submitted To The Highest Level Of Board Of Inquiry

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Thursday 26 July 2012 – In the aftermath of the recent military aircraft crash that claimed the lives of 12 Royal Brunei Armed Forces personnel, the Ministry of Defence announces that a special investigation is currently carried out to ascertain the cause of the crash.
An aircraft accident investigation team from the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) has been established to overseen the investigation. International investigators from the United States and Canada will also provide their support and jointly conduct the investigation with the RBAirF investigation team.
Investigation on the crash has begun since last Saturday. A preliminary report has been produced by the aircraft accident investigation team, that has been submitted to the highest level of Board of Inquiry lead by First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Halim bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy.
LAPORAN AWAL NAHAS HELIKOPTER BELL 212 DIHADAPKAN KEPADA LEMBAGA SIASATAN TERTINGGI
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Khamis 26 Julai 2012 – Berikutan kemalangan helikopter Bell 212 yang meragut nyawa 12 orang anggota Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei, Kementerian Pertahanan mengumumkan bahawa penyiasatan khas sedang dijalankan bagi menentukan punca nahas tersebut.
Satu ‘Tim Penyiasat Kemalangan Pesawat’ dari Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) telah ditubuhkan untuk mengendalikan siasatan berkenaan. Penyiasat antarabangsa dari Amerika Syarikat dan Kanada juga akan memberikan bantuan mereka dalam penyiasatan ini bersama dengan Tim Penyiasat Kemalangan Pesawat TUDB.
Siasatan ke atas kemalangan itu telah bermula sejak Sabtu lepas. Satu laporan awal telah dihasilkan oleh pasukan penyiasatan kemalangan pesawat yang telah dikemukakan kepada tahap tertinggi Lembaga Siasatan yang diketuai oleh Laksamana Pertama Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Halim bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, Pemerintah Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei.
