Bolkiah Garrison, Friday 13 November 2009 – The Ministry of Defence today held a Handing over Ceremony of the Miniature Mushaf Brunei Darussalam, minimized edition at the Ministry of Defence Surau, Bolkiah Garrison. A total of 570 pieces were distributed to 38 departments and units under the Ministry of Defence and Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

BERAKAS, Friday 13 November 2009 – With the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Royal Brunei Land Force has received a new commander. The change of command ceremony for the Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force was between Brigadier General Brigadier Jeneral Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin and Colonel  Haji Yussof bin Haji Abd Rahman which took place this morning at the parade square of the First Battalion Royal Brunei Land Force in Berakas Garrison. The appointment of the new commander takes effect on 12 November 2009.

Berakas, Monday 9 November 2009 –Today the Religious Department of the Directorate of Administration and Manpower, Ministry of Defence celebrated Teachers’ Day as a mark of tribute to the contribution made by teachers of the Ministry of Defence. The celebrated teachers also included assisting teachers from the Islamic Institution Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs whom have been attached to dedicatedly input hardwork to the Ministry of Defence.

Berlin, Saturday 07 Nov 2009 – Accompanied by rhythmical drumming and resounding sounds of the trumpets, the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Band mesmerised audiences with their unique cultural and traditional music and dance performances at the opening of the 15th Berlin Military Music Festival last Saturday November 7.

SG AKAR, Friday 5 November 2009 – Forty-two officer cadets who have been recruited into the third intake of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Officer Cadet School (RBAF OCS) on 25 September 2009 to undergo a 43-week training had its official opening this morning at the Sungai Akar Camp. The launching of the opening ceremony was officiated by the Deputy Minister of Defence Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Singamanteri Colonel (Rtd) Dato Seri Paduka Hj Mohammad Yasmin bin Hj Umar.

Tutong Camp, Wednesday 04 November 2009 – The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) celebrated its 48th anniversary today with a mass parade held at the Second Battalion RBLF Parade Square in Tutong Camp. The mass parade was mounted by 2048 personnel from the First Battalion, Second Battalion, Third Battalion, Support Battalion, Logistic Depot and Land Engineering. The parade also saw the presence of Senior Officers, Officers and personnel of RBLF.
