TANAH JAMBU, Friday 17 May 2013 - The Foundation Laying Ceremony for the proposed Defence Academy was held at the project site at Kg Tanah Jambu.The event was inaugrated by the guest of honour, Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat, Deputy Minister of Defence. The ceremony was also attended by Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Commander Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Colonel (Rtd) Pg Dato Paduka Hj Azmanham bin Pg Hj Mohamad – Permanent Secretary (Defence Policy and Development) , Hj Hamzah bin Hj Sulaiman, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Defence Policy and Development), Directors, officers and staff from Officer Cadet School and Directorate of Development and Work Services.

RIMBA, Friday 17 May 2013 – Brunei Darussalam today continues their commitment to protect the ceasefire in Mindanao by deploying an additional of five Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) personnel and one Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) personnel to participate in the 9th group of the International Monitoring Team (IMT) to the Republic of the Philippines and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).

The Guest of Honour at Departing Ceremony was the Deputy Defence Minister, Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat who later was introduced to the personnel and also attached armbands on each of the RBAF personnel.

BANGAR,  Thursday 16 May 2013 – In conjunction with the 52nd anniversary celebration of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), a blood donation campaign was held at Bangar Camp, Temburong involving personnel from the 2nd Battalion of Royal Brunei Land Force.

The campaign has also been extended to all units under the RBAF at all military camps. The blood donation campaign aims to render support and illustrate RBAF concern towards the local community in contributing to the national blood bank.  It also serves to instill the charitable attribute in each of the military personnel that donating one unit of blood would save lives.  Since the campaign was held until now the RBAF personnel successfully collected 215 pints of blood.

TUTONG, Khamis 16 Mei 2013 – Seorang anggota Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei(ABDB) daripada Batalion Ketiga Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei berbangsa Dusun dari Kampong Rambai, Tutong telah melafazkan dua kalimah syahadah dan ikrar pengakuan pengislaman iaitu 18008 LKpl Renoh bin Rosli.

Majlis pengislaman berlangsung di rumah kediaman 9619 Sjn (B) Mazlan bin Hj Wahab di Perpindahan Bukit Beruang, Tutong. Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat di majlis tersebut ialah Mejar Jeneral Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan Bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Pemerintah ABDB.

BOLKIAH GARRISON, Thursday 16 May 2013 – The Ministry of Defence and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) will be sending 5 RBAF personnel and 1 Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) personnel represent Negara Brunei Darussalam in the 9th International Monitoring Team (IMT) mission to oversee the ceasefire agreement between the Philippines government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).

The additional 9th contingent led by 633 Major Abdul Mubin bin Haji Timbang composed of 805 Captain(U) Haji Ilhamdi bin Haji Mohd Ali, Deputy Superintendent Mohd Noorani bin Hussain, 10357 WO2 Abdul Majid bin Mohd Salleh, 10496 WO2 (L) Rahim bin Haji Ibrahim and 10862 WO2 Suhardi bin Haji Asli.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Tuesday 14 May 2013 - A Tahlil ceremony was held for the late parents of His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien and Al-Marhumah Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit at the Royal Mausoleum this morning.

Attending ceremony was the Acting Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy, Colonel (L) Pengiran Norazmi bin Pengiran Muhammad. Also there to attending the ceremony were officers and personnel of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN).

RIMBA, Tuesday 14 Mei 2013 - As part of the RBAF community contribution in conjunction with the 52nd anniversary of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), a blood donation campaign continue today with personnel from the Royal Brunei Air Force.

The campaign took place at PUNAI Hall in Rimba Air Base. This campaign also started at Rimba Air Base on Tuesday 07 May 2013 and followed by Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces at Penanjong Garrison on Thursday 09 May 2013.
