His Majesty has led and moulded the direction of the Government of Brunei Darussalam, and continues to bring about changes in various spheres of the nation, while maintaining and preserving national identity and resilience in line with the concept and establishment of a Malay Islamic Monarchy.

His Majesty's wisdom in formulating and carrying out the various development programme for Brunei Darussalam has placed the nation comparable with other developed nations. It was therefore natural that such efforts by His Majesty received recognition from institutions within and outside the nation.
