The Sultan Bestowed His Son The Rank General RBAF

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah conferred the rank of General of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah. The ceremony took place at the Officers' Mess Berakas Garrison on the 25 March 2004 during His Majesty's visit to the Ministry of Defence and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces. It marked an important historic chapter for Brunei, particularly for the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
