Defence Integrity
His Majesty ascended the throne in the year 1967. With the guidance and support of his late father, His Majesty worked to acquire an agreement with Great Britain to ensure a better future for Brunei Darussalam. As a monarch, His Majesty has the responsibility to defend the sovereignty and national integrity in retaining its presence in the world. After independence, His Majesty focused his efforts towards defending, preserving and strengthening the survival of Brunei Darussalam as a Malay Islamic Monarchy nation. In this pursuit, the people of Brunei Darussalam have an important role in supporting His Majesty's aspiration in protecting and preserving the country's defence.
