Passing Out Parade for Intake 145 Male Recruits
PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday 29 June 2012 – 111 male recruits of the 145th intake concluded their 25-week basic military training (BMT) this morning at the Parade Square of the Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces (TI RBAF) in Penanjong Garrison.
The guest of honour who received the General Salute during this morning’s event was the Permanent Secretary at Ministry of Religious Affairs (Policies and Religious), Awang Haji Abd Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Mohd Yussof.
The guest of honour later inspected the parade, delivered a speech and presented awards to the best instructors and recruits. The award for Best Platoon Sergent went to 14470 Sergent Hairullah bin Metassim, while awards were also presented to Best Male Instructor – 16526 Corporal Mohd Yasreen bin Hj Othman ; and Best Overall Recruit – 19903 Recruit Mohammad Hafizzul Amirin bin Hj Mohammad Sharazmi.
Also awarded were Best in M16A2 Rifle – 19881 Recruit Mohammad Aizuddin bin Hj Wahid ; Best in Heavy Barell Automatic Rifle (HBAR) – 19894 Recruit Muhammad Najib bin Haji Ibrahim ; Best in Physical Training – 19867 Recruit Mohammad Rezuan bin Emran ; and Best in Academic Knowledge – 19883 Recruit Mohd Aminuddin bin Hj Salleh.
Among those present were Commander of the RBAF Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Deputy Commander RBAF, Service Commanders, Commandants, senior offices, officers and other ranks of RBAF as well as families of the recruits.
