Royal Brunei Air Force Celebrates Its 46th Anniversary

RIMBA, Monday 25 June 2011 - The Royal Brunei Air Force celebrated their anniversary today at the Rimba Airbase. Guest of honour for this event is the Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force, Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Jofri bin Haji Abdullah. This celebration marks the 46th anniversary of Royal Brunei Air Force.

The anniversary celebration started with a parade held at Hangar A, led by 555 Major (U) Habil bin Adol. During the ceremony, the Commander of Royal Brunei Air Force in his speech compliments and congratulate all Royal Brunei Air Force personnel because for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the nation. With these achievements, he wishes to see these developments to become a stepping stone for the Royal Brunei Air Force to develop even further. A group photo was also taken at the end of the parade session before moving on to Punai Hall for launching of the Royal Brunei Air Force Core Values.

The history of Royal Brunei Air Force started in 1965 when a contract was signed with Worldwide Helicopters Company for the purpose of providing medical service for the local population living in the rural areas. This marked the beginning of the aviation capability for the Royal Brunei Armed Forces. The roles of this organisation have developed greatly in terms of assets and strength and most importantly its role in providing protection for Brunei Darussalam.

The Royal Brunei Air Force also held various activities to commemorate its anniversary this year. These activities include a Tahlil ceremony at the Royal Mausoleum on 20 June 2012 and a Khatam Al-Quran and Doa Kesyukuran ceremony on 23 June 2012 at Surau Berakas Garrison. 

 TENTERA UDARA DIRAJA BRUNEI MERAIKAN HARI ULANGTAHUN KE 46 TAHUN

RIMBA, Isnin 25 Jun 2011 - Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei telah menyambut Hari Ulang Tahun pada hari ini bertempat di Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba. Tetamu kehormat pada majlis ini adalah Pemerintah Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei, Brigadier Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Jofri bin Haji Abdullah. Sambutan Hari Ulang Tahun ini adalah yang ke 46 bagi Tentera Udara  Diraja Brunei.

Majlis Sambutan Hari Ulang Tahun TUDB berlangsung di Hangar A dengan sebuah perbarisan yang diketuai oleh 555 Mejar (U) Habil bin Adol.  alam majlis tersebut, Pemerintah Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei memberikan pujian dan mengucapkan tahniah kepada semua anggota Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei  atas pencapaian yang cemerlang dan sumbangan mereka kepada negara. Dengan pencapaian ini, ia boleh menjadi batu loncatan untuk Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei untuk terus maju kehadapan. Perbarisan pada pagi ini diakhiri dengan sesi gambar ramai sebelum bergerak ke Dewan Punai untuk majlis pelancaran Nilai-Nilai Teras Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei.

Sejarah TUDB bermula pada 1965 apabila kontrak dengan Syarikat Worldwide Helicopters ditandatangani bagi tujuan memberikan perkhidmatan perubatan di kawasan pendalaman. Ini menandakan titik permulaan sejarah penerbangan di dalam Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei. Peranan organisasi bukan sahaja telah berkembang pesat dari segi aset dan kekuatan anggota malahan yang paling utama sekali dari segi peranan dalam memastikan keselamatan dan kesejahteraan Negara Brunei Darussalam.

Pelbagai aktiviti telah dilaksanakan sempena memperingati hari ulangtahun Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei pada tahun. Antara acara yang telah dijalankan adalah Majlis Bertahlil di Kubah Makam Diraja pada 20 Jun 2012 dan Majlis Khatam Al-Quran dan Doa Kesyukuran di Surau Berakas pada 23 Jun 2012.
