BOLKIAH GARISON, Khamis 30 Mei 2013 - Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei akan menyambut Hari Ulang Tahun ke 52  pada 31 Mei 2013 ini.  Sambutan bagi acara kemuncak sempena Hari Ulang Tahun Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei ke 52 akan berlangsung pada Hari Sabtu, 1 Jun 2013 bertempat di Kementerian Pertahanan, Bolkiah Garison.  Berbagai acara dan aktibiti akan diadakan dilokasi-lokasi berkenaan yang melibatkan anggota-anggota dan unit-unit dalam ABDB.

Sambutan ini akan diserikan lagi dengan keberangkatan rasmi Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ’Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam, Menteri Pertahanan dan Pemerintah Tertinggi Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei berserta Ahli-Ahli Kerabat Diraja.

MALAYSIA, Wednesday, 29 May 2013 – The 5th ADMM-Plus EWG on Maritime Security Meeting was held today at the Eastin Hotel, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia. Co-chairing the meeting were Ms Suriani Ahmad, Undersecretary, Policy and Strategic Planning Division, Ministry of Defence Malaysia, and Commodore Stuart Mayer, Director General Navy Capability, Plans and Engagement, Department of Defence, Australia. The Head of Delegation from Brunei Darussalam for the Meeting is Lieutenant Colonel (L) Shamsul Bahren Hj Taweh, Commanding Officer KDB Darulehsan, Royal Brunei Navy.

MUARA, Wednesday 29 May 2013 – His Excellency Dr. Tony Tan Keng Yam, The President of the Republic of Singapore arrived at the Muara Naval Base where he was greeted by the Deputy Minister of Defence, Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat, the Commander of The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin and also the Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Halim bin Haji Mohd Hanifah. Upon arrival, His Excellecy was accorded with the Guard of Honor exhibited by personnel of the Royal Brunei Navy.

BOLKIAH GARRISON, Tuesday 28 May 2013 – In uplifting the reading of Al-Quran or 'tadarus' among the officers and members of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony in conjunction with the 52nd  Anniversary of RBAF was held this afternoon at Ministry of Defence Surau.

Present at the ceremony were Deputy Minister of Defence, Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat, RBAF Commander, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ehsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Defence Executive Members and  also attended by Military Directors, Senior Officers, the officers and members and staff of the Ministry of Defence and RBAF.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Tuesday 28 May 2013 – In less than a month time, Brunei Darussalam will be hosting the Inaugural ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting Plus (ADMM-Plus) Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief and Military Medicine Exercise (HADR & MM Ex) that is scheduled from the 17th June until the 20th June 2013. This combined exercise will bring together more than 2,000 military personnel from the 10 ASEAN countries as well as the 8 Plus countries which include Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, Russia, South Korea and the United States. The exercise participants will arrive as early as the 1st June 2013.

BOLKIAH GARRISON, Monday 27 May 2013 – The National Resilience Institute of the Republic of Indonesia (LEMHANNAS) conducted a study visit to Brunei Darussalam from 26 to 31 May 2013 as part of the LEMHANNAS’s Strategic Foreign Study Programme Course.

The aim of the visit is to have a better understanding on Brunei Darussalam’s economic, political, socio-cultural development and policies, as well as to strengthen relation and cooperation with related institutions in Brunei Darussalam.

With a total of 27 participants, the delegation was headed by Rear Admiral (Navy) Herry Setianegara, S.Sos, SH, MM. The group visited the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies (SHHBIDSS) at the Ministry of Defence where they were briefed on the Defence White Paper 2011. This was followed by lunch hosted by the Permanent Secretary (Defence Policy & Development), Colonel (Rtd) Pg Dato Paduka Haji Azmansham bin Pg Haji Mohamad.

BOLKIAH GARRISON, Monday 27 May 2013 – A Khatam Al-Quran event organised by Royal Brunei Armed Forces female officers took place at the Ministry of Defence Surau, Bolkiah Garrison. 

Present as the guest of honour at the ceremony was Major Hjh Asnah binti Haji Matamit, Staff Officer Finance, Directorate of Administration, Ministry of Defence. The ceremony was attended by senior officers, officers and other members of the RBAF.
