255 Pints of Blood Collected in Campaign
RIMBA, Tuesday 21 May 2013 – The blood donation campaign to commemorate the 52 Royal Brunei Armed Forces Anniversary Celebration continued today at Royal Brunei Malay Reserve Camp, Rimba, Gadong involving 40 personnel from the Military Police Headquarters and Royal Brunei Malay Reserve.
Eversince the campaign started, the RBAF has successfully accumulated 255 pints of blood.The campaign has also been extended to all units under the RBAF at all military camps. The blood donation campaign aims to render support and illustrate RBAF concern towards the local community in contributing to the national blood bank. It also serves to instill the charitable attribute in each of the military personnel that donating one unit of blood would save lives.
126 MINDEF Civil Servants & RBAF Personnel Receive Honorary Medals

ISTANA NURUL IMAN, Monday 20 May 2013 - His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to confer honorary medals in conjuction with His Majesty 66th Birthday Celebration at an Investiture Ceremony held at Balai Singgahsana Indera Kencana, Istana Nurul Iman.
His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Deputy Sultan presented 563 individuals with honorary medals in recognition for their long and faithful services as well as contribution to the nation.
8th IMT Peacekeepers Return Home
RIMBA, Friday 17 Mei 2013 – Four Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) personnel and one Royal Brunei Police Force personnel from additional eight group of the International Monitoring Mission (IMT) returned safely home from a tour of duty in the Republic of Philippines in Cotabato City, Mindanao and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).
The additional 8th RBAF IMT contingent arrived at Hangar B Royal Brunei Air Force (TUDB) Base in Rimba this afternoon was led by 669 Major Masmun bin Haji Kassim and composed of Superintendant Matusin bin Haji Jumat, WO2 Mohd Suhaimi bin Sungkai, WO2 Kamarul Nisa bin Abdullah and WO2 Pg Kamal Ariffin bin Pg Mohd.
Commander RBAirF Visit Singapore For IMDEX ASIA 2013
SINGAPORE, Saturday 18 May 2013 - The Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF), Colonel (U) Haji Wardi bin Haji Abdul Latip, was on a back-to-back trip to the Republic Singapore to attend the International Maritime Defence Exhibition Asia 2013 (IMDEX Asia 2013) and Introductory Visit to the Republic of Singapore Air Force from 14-18 May 2013.
This year’s IMDEX Asia 2013 is the 9th edition in the series was held from 14 to 16 May 2013 at the Changi Exhibition Centre, Republic of Singapore. Supported by the Republic of Singapore Navy, this biennial exhibition and conference is a one-stop opportunity for key decision makers from the navy and international maritime defence industry to keep abreast with the latest maritime defence technologies and developments in the region.

TANAH JAMBU, Friday 17 May 2013 - The Foundation Laying Ceremony for the proposed Defence Academy was held at the project site at Kg Tanah Jambu.The event was inaugrated by the guest of honour, Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat, Deputy Minister of Defence. The ceremony was also attended by Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Commander Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Colonel (Rtd) Pg Dato Paduka Haji Azmanham bin Pg Haji Mohamad, Permanent Secretary (Defence Policy and Development), Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Defence Policy and Development), Directors, officers and staff from Officer Cadet School and Directorate of Development and Work Services.
Additional of 6 Personnel Deploys For 9th IMT Mission

RIMBA, Friday 17 May 2013 – Brunei Darussalam today continues their commitment to protect the ceasefire in Mindanao by deploying an additional of five Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) personnel and one Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) personnel to participate in the 9th group of the International Monitoring Team (IMT) to the Republic of the Philippines and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).
The Guest of Honour at Departing Ceremony was the Deputy Defence Minister, Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat who later was introduced to the personnel and also attached armbands on each of the RBAF personnel.
Blood Donation Inconjunction of 52nd RBAF Anniversary
BANGAR, Thursday 16 May 2013 – In conjunction with the 52nd anniversary celebration of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), a blood donation campaign was held at Bangar Camp, Temburong involving personnel from the 2nd Battalion of Royal Brunei Land Force.
The campaign has also been extended to all units under the RBAF at all military camps. The blood donation campaign aims to render support and illustrate RBAF concern towards the local community in contributing to the national blood bank. It also serves to instill the charitable attribute in each of the military personnel that donating one unit of blood would save lives. Since the campaign was held until now the RBAF personnel successfully collected 215 pints of blood.
