REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, Thursday 18 May 2017 – The Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), First Admiral Pg Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pg Haji Muhammad is currently in the Republic of Singapore attending the International Maritime Review (IMR) on 15 May and International Maritime Defence (IMDEX) Exhibition from 16 – 18 May.
A total of 46 warships from 21 countries including Brunei Darussalam participated in the review which was hosted for the first time by the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) in conjunction with its golden jubilee.
Present as guest of honour was the President of the Republic of Singapore, President Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam who emphasised the importance of multilateral cooperation in his speech. Also present were the Republic of Singapore Minister for Defence, Dr Ng Eng Hen and Senior Minister of State for Defence and Foreign Affairs, Dr Mohd Maliki bin Osman.
The Commander of RBN also had separate bilateral calls with the Chiefs of Navy from Denmark, New Zealand, Republic of Singapore and United Kingdom.
