HRH Prince General of RBAF At Thanksgiving For 49th Anniversary

Berakas, Sunday 30 May 2010 – His Royal Highness Prince General Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, General of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) consented to attend a “Doa Kesyukuran” ceremony held at the Berakas Garrison surau last night.

The thanksgiving or “Doa Kesyukuran,” held in celebration of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces 49th anniversary, saw His Royal Highness welcomed by the Deputy Minister of Defence, Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat,  RBAF Commander, Major General Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Permanent Secretary of Defence, Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Majid bin Mangarshah, Deputy Permanent Secretaries of Defence, Service Commanders and Commandant Training Institute RBAF, Senior Officers of Ministry of Defence and RBAF.
The ceremony began with the recital of al-Quran verse by 807 Lieutenant Awangku Khairuddin bin Pg Hj Muhd Tali. This was followed by the mass Magrib prayer, then the reading of ‘Wirid’ and ‘Doa, ‘Surah Yassin and Tahlil’ and ‘Doa Kesyukuran’.
The ceremony proceeded with the mass Isya’ prayer, then the “junjung ziarah” before HRH Prince General Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah proceeded to the Officers’ Mess for the “santap” and photo session. After the ‘Doa Selamat’ as read at the end of the event, His Royal Highness consented to sign the Royal Parchment.
The “Doa Kesyukuran” ceremony is one of the side activities being held among others to acquire blessings from Allah Subhannahu Wa ta’ala. RBAF will celebrate its 49th anniversary at the Penanjong Garrison tomorrow with the presence of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. This year’s anniversary theme is “Defending My Country Brunei Darussalam”. 




DYTM Jeneral ABDB Berangkat ke Majlis Doa Kesyukuran HUT ABDB Ke-49


Berakas Garrison, 30hb Mei 2010 - Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Mahkota Jeneral Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Menteri Kanan di Jabatan Perdana Menteri dan Jeneral ABDB berkenan berangkat ke Majlis Doa Kesyukuran sepena sambutan Hari Ulang tahun Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) yang Ke-49 yang diadakan lewat petang ini di Surau Berakas Garison. 
Keberangkatan Duli Yang Teramat Mulia di Surau Berakas Garison dijunjung oleh Timbalan Menteri Pertahanan, Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat, Pemerintah ABDB, Mejar Jeneral Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Setiausaha Tetap Kementerian Pertahanan, Timbalan-Timbalan Setiausaha Tetap Kementerian Pertahanan, Pemerintah-pemerintah Angkatan Tentera dan Komandan Institut Latihan ABDB, Pegawai-pegawai Kanan Kementerian Pertahanan dan ABDB. 
Majlis di mulakan dengan bacaan Ayat-ayat suci Al-Quran oleh 807 Leftenan Awangku Khairuddin bin Pg Hj Muhd Tali. Ini diikuti dengan Sembahyang Fardhu Maghrib berjemaah, bacaan Wirid dan Doa, surah Yassin dan Tahlil serta Doa Kesyukuran.
Acara diteruskan lagi dengan Sembahyang Fardhu Isya berjemaah, diikuti dengan junjung ziarah Kehadapan Majlis Duli Yang Teramat Mulia sebelum berangkat ke Mes Pegawai bagi majlis santap malam serta sesi bergambar ramai. Setelah Doa Selamat dibacakan di penghujung acara, Duli Yang Teramat Mulia berkenan menandatangani Lembaran Kenangan Diraja.
Majlis doa Kesyukuran berkenaan merupakan salah satu acara sambutan disamping acara lain bertujuan untuk memohon keberkatan dari Allah subhannahu wa ta’ala. ABDB  akan menyambut  Hari Ulang Tahunnya yang ke-49 esok di Penanjong Garison dengan keberangkatan Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam. Tema sambutan pada tahun ini ialah “Mempertahankan Negaraku Brunei Darussalam.”
